Convoy
In the last five years, the freight industry has been abuzz with the promise of technology to revolutionize logistics. But how much has it really made a dent in the practical problems that supply chain teams still face?
Before I co-founded Convoy in 2015, I spent a lot of time hanging out at truck stops and strolling into warehouses, striking up conversations with drivers, dispatchers, and transportation planners. I made friends and future business acquaintances, and with every conversation, I got new insights into the problems that shippers and truckers face every day. We didn't start with any biases, so deeply understanding these problems laid the foundation for everything we’ve built at Convoy. And over the last five years, our customers’ problems have become our obsession - they’ve driven our technology roadmap, our business model innovation, and our partnerships with shippers in every industry.
In this session, I’ll discuss some of the challenges our customers faced and how we worked together to solve them in innovative ways - from intelligent drop & hook programs to dynamically priced, guaranteed backup capacity to insights that improve facility efficiency.
